Agency Information
GWTA provides Urban Fixed Route Service (Bus), Rural & Urban General Public Transportation (RGP/UGP), Dial-A-Ride (DAR) and ADA transportation service to all citizens of Wayne County.
Hours of Service
Bus Service:
- Monday – Friday 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Blue & Purple Routes 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
RGP/UGP Service:
- Monday – Friday 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
DAR Service:
- Monday – Friday 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ADA Transportation Service:
- Monday – Friday 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
ADA hours of operation follow the same hours as the Urban Fixed Route Bus Service.
For ADA eligible trip requests, the GWTA will honor these requests when made at least one day in advance.
ADA Riders are allowed a personal care attendant who can ride for free, and at least one other companion who can ride for the regular fare.
Inclement Weather
We will use good judgment to limit or cancel service when hazardous road conditions are present. Visit the website or our Facebook page or wral.com for closings.

- Good Friday
- Juneteenth

- The Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve Observance
